Benj's vegetarian burger

Last updated about 2 hours ago

My favorite recipe of vegetarian burger. Cooked and approved in the tea house a few times.

Instructions

Making the steaks

Chop the mushrooms and the onions and cook them in a pan so they are soft and juicy.

Then put them in a blender, grind them and put in a big bowl.

Nex grind together the persly, the cheese and the oat.

Add everything in the big bowl, add curry, salt and pepper and if you like spicy food a bit of chili. Mix everything together with you hands and make small balls (of approximatly 100gr each) until you finish the preparation.

Then take your pan and put a bit of olive oil. Put the balls inside and cook them for 5min on each side at middle fire. While they cook use a flat spatula to flatten them and make them look like steaks.

Prepare the sauce

Chop the pickles very small. Put them in a bowl and add the mayonnese first. Then little by little add some ketchup until you optain a nice orange mixture. You can taste along the way, it as to be a little big sour and you should start to taste the ketchup but not too much. It taste quite similar to the classic burger sauce.

Assemble the burger

Cut the breads in two and put in the over for 5 min so they are a bit grilled.

Spread some sauce on each side of the bread, top and bottom.

Put some salad on the bottom, add the steak in the middle and close.
